INGREDIENTS
▢ ¼ cup brown sugar
▢ ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
▢ ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
▢ 1 9-inch pie crust
▢ 3 medium riped D’Anjou or Barlett pears
▢ 1 medium apple
▢ ¼ cup NPA Honey
Egg Wash:
▢ 1 large egg, cracked and beaten
▢ 1 tablespoon milk
Topping:
▢ Coarse Sugar
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside for now.
2. In a small sized bowl, combine brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger.
3. Roll out a 9 inch pie crust on the prepared baking sheet.
4. Cut the pears and apple lengthwise and remove the core. Arrange the slices on the pie crust, leaving about a 1 inch border around the edge.
5. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over and between the fruit slices. Drizzle NPA honey on top to cover all the fruit slices.
6. Fold the edge of the pie crust over the pears.
7. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and a tablespoon of milk to make the egg wash. Brush the egg wash over the pie crust. Sprinkle coarse sugar over the edges.
8. Bake the honey pear galette for about 25-30 minutes until the crust has turned a golden brown and the center is bubbly.
9. Allow the honey pear galette to cool down before slicing into it.
